Using recombinant DNA and protein engineering technology, our company has developed a low-cost technique to produce, purify and refold recombinant human proteins. Recombinant Human Bone Morphogenetic Protein-2 (rhBMP-2) Package size: 10 ug per bottle. US$100 per bottle. US$90 per bottle for 2 bottles or more. Bulk quotes on request. Dealer enquiries are welcome. Supplied: Both solution and lyophilized powder from sterilized 50mM Acetic acid solution with or without BSA as a carrier protein approximately 50 ug per ug of BMP-2. Production source: 1. E Coli 2. A cDNA sequence coding for human BMP-2 (284-396, ref. Science, 242: 1528-1534). Molecular mass: The mature recombinant human BMP-2 is a disulfide-linked homodimeric protein consisting of 113 amino acid residue monomer and has a calculated molecular mass of 12.8 kDa. Purity: Purified by inclusion body isolation, washing, iron exchange liquid chromatography and affinity chromatography with heparin-affinity chromatography. > 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE (silver stained). Activity range: Measured by its ability to induce alkaline phosphatase production during the process of conversion of C2C12 myoblast into osteoblast. The ED50 for this effect is approximately 50-500ng/ml. Reconstitution: Recommend to reconstitute the BMP-2 powder with sterile 50 mM acetic acid buffer, pH 4 or sterile PBS containing 0.1% human albumin or BSA to prepare a stock solution of no less than 10ug/ml. Storage/Stability: The lyophilized powder is stable for more than 2 years at -20 to -80 ºC or 6 months at 4 ºC. Upon reconstitution, the protein solution can be stored at 4 ºC for 2 months or aliquot stored at -80 ºC for one year. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Disclaimer: For laboratory use only.
